What is Circle of Moms?Featured Friday: Circle of Moms

Circle of Moms is a group on Facebook with over 6000 Chicagoland members who post questions, give advice and interact with each other. Parenting can be a difficult and often touchy subject, but the goal of this group is to empower mothers and give them a space to find support.

Why is it on the ParadigmNEXT radar?

Yana Nirshberg is the Creative Director and Managing Partner of ParadigmNEXT. She’s also the founder of Circle of Moms. When she founded it, as a new mother herself, Yana wanted to provide a positive space, without judgement or fear. She called it “Circle of Moms” so that it can be synonymous with “Circle of Friends.” What started as just an idea to link and meet with local mothers in the community evolved into a large digital space for mothers to support each other across the Facebook platform. It grew from just a few mothers to now well over 6000.

Yana Nirshberg Circle of MomsHow is it impacting the industry?

Circle of Moms, along with Svet Media and ParadigmNEXT, co-hosted their first family event at the Kohl Children’s Museum on June 14, 2015 to celebrate the opening of the Chagell exhibit. A complimentary breakfast, refreshments and face painting were provided to all guests at this free event in the North Shore of Chicago. According to Yana, “This was a very important event for Circle of Moms since it was our first offline gathering where all the moms could finally meet and interact in person. We received such a great response that we hope to make this a more frequent occasion and definitely as an ongoing annual Summer event.”
