Located inside The Merchandise Mart, 1871 has become Chicago’s taste of Silicon Valley. WeWork has three locations spread throughout the city. There are two locations currently open in the Fulton Market District and River North, with a WeWork opening soon in Grant Park. Aside from just playing host to startups and large companies, WeWork has a lot of exciting amenities that members can take advantage of. For example, if you need a break from answering emails or client calls, there is a lounge and coffee bar. Another great co-working space here in Chicago is Industrious. ParadigmNEXT actually expanded from their headquarters in Glenview to this downtown location in River North before moving to their current address. The ambiance of Industrious is very modern, yet industrial, with exposed brick and wooden furnishings. In fact, top social media site Pinterest has an office within Industrious. A unique feature included are telephone booths open to any member. No matter what the call is, you’re guaranteed privacy and complete silence. Overall, working at Industrious has been a positive experience for its members. Henok M. says, “No one expects warm customer service at the office, but that’s exactly what Industrious gives us everyday.”
Being able to walk into work everyday, where you are bound to make more connections, will only lead to more business.
